Wanderley Pires de Sá

Brief scientific information

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from the Institute of Physics of the University of São Paulo (1983), a Master's in Physics from the University of São Paulo (1987) and a PhD in Physics from the University of São Paulo (1996). I am currently a physicist at the University of São Paulo. I have experience in Physics, with an emphasis on Plasma Physics and Electrical Discharges, acting mainly on the following topics: tokamak, plasma diagnostics, simulation in plasma physics, program developments and advanced computational codes in the area of tokamak physics, systems control, data acquisition, data analysis and remote access.

Plasma Physics Laboratory

The Plasma Physics Laboratory has a small tokamak (TCABR - Tokamak Chauffage Alfvén Brésilien). Currently my main activity is the coordination of the activities of (I) Control System, Data Acquisition, Data Analysis and Remote Access Systems, (II) Management of the computer systems necessary for the data analysis activities of the Plasma Physics Laboratory , (III) development of codes and computer programs for data analysis and simulation.
